Authorized Edition. 438pp. 8vo. Blue cloth with an ornate gilt design filling most of the cover & signed with the intertwined opposing 'D's of Decorative Designers (1895-1931). The title & author's name are in gilt within 2 separate panels. The cover motif is repeated at the top & bottom of the spine which is gilt-lettered & also includes 'The Complete Lecture Acres of Diamonds'. Frontispiece + 16 other b/w plates on coated paper. Russell Conwell, the founder of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, was a famed orator who raised millions of dollars for the school with his classic 'Acres of Diamonds' speech. Lower right corner of front cover bumped o/w Good, i.e. obvious signs of use with no major defects. No dustjacket. See PHOTO.
