313pp. sm8vo. Blue cloth with black lettering. A 1920s novel described as 'The fascinating, swift-moving story of a disillusioned girl who believed that men and women are natural enemies'. Very period illustrations of a vamp on the dustjacket. A faint moisture ring of the back cover, a previous owner's dated (1931) signature on the front endpaper o/w Fine (No defects)/ DJ (Top of spine heavily chipped; bottom of the spine has a large chip extending 1 1/4' up the left side, then diagonally down to the center of the bottom; 1/2' x 3/16' chip in the bottom left corner a 1/4' x 1/4' chip in the top left corner of the front; 1 1/2' edge tear on the of the front; three 1/8' edge tears on the bottom of the front; top edge of the back has two 3/4' & two 1/2' tears & the bottom edge has two 3/8' & one 1/2' tears; & edges worn. The front cover illustration, however, is bright & unaffected by the tears).
