5 1/4' h. x 4 1/4' w. color-lithographed card stock with an arched top conforming to the shape of a wheel attached behind with a rivet. Six slots in the face card reveal (1) an Army rank, (2) the corresponding Navy rank, the corresponding insignia worn on a soldier's (3) shoulder & (4) upper sleeve, & the equivalent rank insignia worn on a sailor's (5) upper & (6) lower sleeve. The face is illustrated with a soldier & a sailor in formal uniforms & a border of various military insignias around edge of card. Advertising text only on the back. The copyright date on the card is followed by 'New York, N. Y. / Advertisers' Service Division'. Apparently, this was not a division of Home Life since this novelty has appeared under the name of other advertisers. The front card has a few faint creases on the face & a heavier crease in the lower left corner; light soiling on the back of the card o/w Very Good, i.e. signs of careful use with no significant defect.
