64pp. sm8vo. 5 1/4' x 7 3/8'. Stapled glossy wraps with illustrated covers. The front cover is gray & framed by a white border. Within the upper half of the frame there is a sepia & white portrait of Benjamin Franklin (the same one used of the company's trademark) itself framed in white, below which the title is lettered in blue & black & 'Franklin Sugar Refining Co. Philadelphia' in black. The back cover is white and contains only the trademark of Franklin Sugar in the center. All leaves are coated paper. The text is beautifully illustrated solely in color with 26 half page plates in full color (mostly showing prepared recipes either elegantly served or along with the equipment need for their preparation), a double-page full plate with 4 illustrations in full color of the sugar refining process from cane cutting to packaging, & one full plate in cream, blue & red showing 11 varieties of packaging of their sugar, as well as 3 other sugar products. Recipes cover the gamut of foods & beverages where sugar is needed. Includes the story of sugar.
