Very thin, flexible tapered blade (2 1/2 l. x 2 w. at base). Lower section of the handle is a narrow 1/4 d. rod that tapers out into a flattened, broad handle ending with a curl-around rattail finial. 12 1/2 l. Blade has jagged edges from rust damage. This is a Pennsylvania piece of at most the 19th C. and could be older since handforged farm items in Pennsylvania were made in traditional designs & by traditional methods well into the 19th C.
