Brass with black painted wooden handle. A hollow, triangular needle protrudes from the handle and passes through one end of a brass spring bar which arches over the handlewhere its other end is attached to the top of the handle. The spring bar variably limits the movement of the needle through the fabric and is adjusted by engaging a stationary pin on the handle with on the 5 perforations alongthe bar. The needle is open at its sharpened end and has an open slot at the back of top. 4 3/4 l. The bar is stamped Daisy Needle Co. St. Louis, Mo. Pat Appd For. A patent (965,236) was granted for this needle July 26, 1910 to Carl W. Sellstedt of Minneapolis, MN assignor of one-half to John P.
