Indiana Botanic Gardens [Hammond, IN]. 1947. Soft Cover 
64pp. 8vo. 5 1/2' x 8 1/4'. Colorfully illustrated wraps with a Native American brave presenting herbs to his Chief on the front cover & various herbs pictured on the back. Herbs are also pictured in color on the inside of both covers. An original bookmark & mailing envelop is included. Front cover has a very light crease in the upper right corner. The back cover has 2 small, light stain spots on the edges; a 1/4' tear in the middle of the right side; a crease in the upper left corner; & a 1 ' tear in the top of the spine o/w Very Good, i.e. signs of careful use with no significant defects. NOTE: Shipping for this item via 1st Class Mail is $2.00. Your shipping charge will appear as $4.00 in the Shopping Cart, but will be lowered before your credit card is charged.

John Baer's Sons [Lancaster, PA]. Soft Cover 
Tall 12mo. 6 3/4' x 8 1/2'. Wraps printed with an engraved classical scene of 2 women under a tree holding & surrounded by various agricultural implements & symbols. All have the as-issued hole-punched in the upper left corner & some have the original string hangers. Baer's has been published annually since 1825 and is a traditional farm almanac whose predictions have been trusted by Amish & Mennonite farmers among others. Detailed zodiacal information, domestic & agricultural advice, Humor & anecdotes, recipes, etc. All have tight spines, but all have some foxing and edge chips &/or edge tears o/w generally Good, i.e. obvious signs of use with no major defects. This lot will require extra postage for Priority Mail shipping.
