Baby's hair is yellow. Dairylea is a large dairy farmer's cooperative which was founded in 1907 and introduced the name 'Dairylea' for its products in 1923. 1960s. 1 1/8' d. Fine. Celluloid. 7/8' d. Hake No. 566 except 'Metropolitan Life' in center and 'Health & Happiness League/ Insurance Company' in black print around yellow rim. Light blue center with an image of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower. Whitehead & Hoag Co. backpaper is in a style used after 1912. Health and Happiness League was initiated by Metropolitan about 1911 for the children of policyholders. Short biographies & accomplished of each President including Franklin Delano Roosevelt before his re-election in 1936. Each president is illustrated in b/w ion of each. Many illustrated advertisements for Alka-Seltzer and Dr. Miles Nervine in red & black. Some light foxing spots in upper left corner of the front cover, & several very light spots of foxing in the margins of most pages o/w Very Good, i.e. signs of careful use with no significant defects. John E. Allen & his sons, George & James, were operating the business in 1870, but ceased business before 1887. The card was printed a little off-center & the back shows some very light stains. Green Duck Co. [Chicago]. 
Diecut goldtoned metal of a standing elf decorated in multi-colored enamel & gilt. Back embossed 'Sapolin For Best Gilding Enameling and Staining/ Gerstendorfer Bros. New York/ The Green Duck Co. Chicago'. This firm began as a late 19th century immigrant German gilding company, Gerstendorfer Brothers, which, by 1902, had quickly expanded to include the specialty of the trademarked Sapolin metal paint. Their adaptation to changing American sentiments toward Germans can be seen in their signs, point of purchase displays, brochures and promotional giveaway items. As of WW1, they were using their trademark name Sapolin as their company name instead of Gerstendorfer Brothers to mitigate anti-German prejudice caused by the war. Original strap & buckle show wear o/w Fine.

Goldtoned Indian arrowhead (1 3/4'h.) embossed with a lamp bulb in silver on which are printed filaments & 'National Mazda' in black. The arrowhead is suspended from a black, limp leather strap (3 1/4'l.) which folds around the bar & down behind fob. Short chain & swivel clasp attached to bar. The back of the arrowhead is engraved in fancy script 'Presented to R. L. Baker By N.E.L.A. For Record Sales 1917'. [N.E.L.A. = National Electric Lamp Association]. Ross Lee Baker (1884-1975), a 1907 graduate of Cornell, was an electrical engineer with the Henry L. Doherty Co. who later organized R. L. Baker & Co. Engineers, a firm of consulting engineers in New York City. Fine.

Back of the frame is embossed with a box of coffee & 'Old Reliable Coffee/ 100 Percent Pure/ W & H Co Newark N.J.' (Whitehead & Hoag Co.). C. 1900s. Old Reliable Coffee was a product of the Dayton Spice Mills Co., Dayton, OH. Original strap & buckle show wear, & a few scratched on the celluloid. SEE SCAN.

Mr. Peanut is illustrated on the cover & in each of the 14 pictures. Several Planters products (salted peanuts in 5 cent bags & candy peanut bars) are illustrated in color on the back cover. Unused.
