Whitehead & Hoag [Newark, NJ]. 
7/8' d. celluloid over tin with 'For Senator Meade D. Detweiler' in white in blue band around photo. Whitehead & Hoag paper back label. Detweiler was a Republican candidate for State Senator from Dauphin Co., Pa. 1896, but defeated in the primary by George Kunkel. He was also served as the Grand Exalted Ruler of the Elks in 1897-98, & was the author of 'An Account of the Origin and Early History of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of the U.S.A.' Marlin Edgar Olmstead (1847 - 1913) serve as the representative from Dauphin Co., Pa in the U.S. Congress from 1897 until 1913. Face may have some slight fading, & the paper label is a little tanned. Governor of Pa. 1931-35. The face has scattered spots on rust & a magnifying Glass reveals paint crazing. The surface of the back is completely rusted. SEE SCAN. 7/8' d. celluloid over tin with 'FOR GOVERNOR CHARLES W. STONE' in black against white around photo. Whitehead & Hoag paper back label. Stone (1843 - 1912), a Republican, was Lt. Governor of Pa. 1879-1883 & a U.S. Congressman 1890-1899. In 1898, he was both an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to Congress & for Governor of Pennsylvania. The face has some mild staining, a section of the back rim shows rust, & label is has some discoloration. NOTE: Shipping for this item via 1st Class Mail is $3.00. William Alexis Stone (18 April 1846 - 1 March 1920) was Governor of Pennsylvania from 1899 to 1903. He served four terms in the United States House of Representatives before running for governor in 1898. Slightly faded face. Tarnish on metal back. 7/8' d. celluloid over tin with 'FOR SENATOR COL. W. S. THOMAS' in black against white around photo. Red & blue stars & stripes around the rim. Whitehead & Hoag paper back label. William Scott Thomas (1845 - 1924), a Democrat, was a mining engineer who became a millionaire through his investments in coal mines and the development of other mineral and metal resources in several states. He resided in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and later in NYC. Although very active in Pennsylvania politics, no information could be found regarding when he ran, nor if it was a primary or general election. He appears in every census from 1850 thru 1920 where additional information can be found.
