1st printing thus. 335pp. 8vo. Black cloth with a maroon panel on the spine divided by a gilt rule. The upper part of the panel has the title in gilt & the lower carries the authors' names in gilt. Translated from the German & edited by James Strachey in collaboration with Anna Freud. Bibliography & index. This is a reprint of Volume II of the 'Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud' (Hogarth Press, 1955), which was the first complete English translation of the 1925 German edition including subsequent additions by Breuer & extensive footnotes by Freud. Some very faint paste action on the endpapers o/w Fine (No defects)/ DJ (minor wear to the top of the spine, faint soiling on the back o/w Fine).
