Gilted decorated opaque white opalware. Mold blown & pressed. Salt 2 3/8 h., pepper2 3/4. Eagle Glass & Mfg. Co. C. 1899 - 1906. Lechners' Bk. 2, p. 78. Gilt very worn o/w the shakers are Fine (No defects). Original steel tops. Salt top has rust damage.

5 Eagle Glass Mfg. Co., Wellsburg, WV MILK GLASS FLORAL NECK SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS.
C. 1900 
Mold blown & pressed. 3 h. Eagle Glass Mfg. Co. 1899 - 1904. Matching metal lids with inserted celluloid tops. These are not the tops shown in Lechner (Bk. 2, p. 75), but they were used by Eagle & other shaker makers of the period. There is no evidence that these shakers ever had Goofus decoration as those shown in Lechner. Rough mold lines on the the bottom rims o/w Fine (No defects). Some corrosion on the metal part of the lids, but the celluloid in Fine.

7 New Martinsville Glass Mfg. Co., New Martinville, WV. MILK GLASS CREASED WAIST SALT SHAKER.
C. 1902 - 07. 
Mould blown. 3 1/2 h. New Martinsville Glass Mfg. Co. C. 1902 - 07. Rough pontil around mouth. Metal lid has dents in the top & a 3/8 split in the side. Lechner, Bk. 2, p. 163 shows the shaker in opaque yellow and reports it found in pink, blue & green, but does not list opaque white. Peterson, 26(b), shows it in b/w with no mention of color. The threaded top of the shaker has more than the usual roughness due to a larger than normal chip-like piece that appears to be fire polished o/w Fine (No defects). Metal lid has dents in the top & a 3/8 split in the side.

Mold blown. 3 1/8 h. x 2 3/8 w. Original plated brass top with little plate remaining. Lechner Bk. 2, p. 169 except no decoration or signs of ever having been decorated. Maker unknown. C. 1900. In-the-making roughness around the top rim o/w Fine (No defects).

10 Unknown MILK GLASS VINE SALT SHAKER.
C. 1900 
4 vertical embossed vines with pink stain wash in the panels between. Mold blown. 2 1/2 h. x 2 w. across base. Peterson 42(V). Not shown in any Lechner volume. Shaker is Fine (no defects). Nickelplated brass top, which differs from the top shown in Peterson, has dents, some wear, and enlarged holes.

Opalware. 2 3/4 h. Mould blown & pressed. Maker unknown. C. 1906 - 1911. Peterson 22(A) calls it Basket. Lechners' Bk. 1, p. 72 shows it painted in red and names it Basket, Rope. This shaker showsno evidence of ever being painted. Fine (No defects). Dent in non-original aluminum lid.

C. 1905. 
Mold blown. 3 1/4 h. x 2 1/2 w. This is the shaker shown in Peterson (27J), Warman (141A), & Lechner, Bk. 3, p. 202 (in emerald green). The shaker shown in Lechner's Bk.2, p. 221 under the same name has the same pattern, but is shaped differently and only 3 h. Maker unknown. C. 1905. Roughnes in-the-making around the top rim o/w Fine (No defects). Old plated brass top with a swirled pattern has little plate remaining.

Translucent powder blue glass. 8 h. Moldblown with rough pontil. Chiarenza & Slater's The Milk Glass Book shows this vase in an off-white color only in catalog reprints from 1908 & 1933. Many seed bubbles scattered throughout the glass. Fine (No defects)
