Congratulatory messages, speeches including biographical sketch, list of publications, patents & awards, etc. Also included is a 1936 signed postcard from Ipatieff to Dr. Jacque Morrell, a fellow petroleum chemist and a colleague at Universal Oil Products. He was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago (the location of the fictitious Black Cat Club) and later served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, VA. He was well known as a poet & author of short stories, which were published in leading newspapers. His wife, Rosina Tucker, was the founder & Secretary-Treasurer of the International Ladies' Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, which she also helped establish.
