Mold blown. 2 3/8 h. Opal ware yellow tinted neck & bulging base transfer-decorated withfloral sprigs. Unsigned. C. F. Monroe Co. C. 1895 - 1906. Lechner reports her pair as 3 1/8 h. I believe this is an error based on the pair shown next to a pair of Monroe's Tulip shakers (2 1/4 h.) in a 1895-96 catalog reproduced in Cohen's Wave Crest p. 205. Both pairs appear to have about the same height. Shakers are Fine (No defects). One lid has several splits in the side, a dent on top, and some corrosion. The other has minor corrosion.
