1 MOSSER GLASS ILLUSTRATED MARY & LAMB CHILDREN'S PLATE.
C. 1984. 
Crystal with reticulated border & fired-on white illustration of little girl & lamb after the manner of Kate Greenaway. 5 1/2 d. Plates of this size with same lacy edge border were shown in a Mosser catalog reprinted in May, 1984 edition of the Depression Glass Daze. Two decorated plates and an undecorated plate were listed as #167 Lace Edge Plates. A few faint scratches o/w Fine (Nodefects).

Porcelain. Handpainted. (1) HOUSE Shakers: Unmarked, but the set came in various colorswith tray carrying the mark of Noritake's Chikaramachi St. plant. 1 3/4h. Tiny chip on the back corner of the bottom of one shaker o/w Fine. (2) TOUCAN BIRD Shakers: Marked Made in Japan. 2 h. One shaker has glaze defects on its breast as shown. (3) FLOWER Shakers: Marked Japan. 1 h. Fine.

Coldwell. 15 p. 78 lots. Copy: LC. (The Library of Congress, Division of Fine Arts), 693. The only Fred Boland listed in the 1860 (Fred), 1870 (listed twice as Fred & Fredrick) & 1880 (Fred'k.) in Philadelphia was born in 1840. He was listed as a gilt frame manufacturer in 1870 and in the looking glasses business in 1880. Pennsylvania Bureau of Industrial Statistics, Dept. of Internal Affairs, Bureau of Statistics of Labor and Agriculture (1877) lists Frederick Boland Philadelphia Looking Glasses Picture Frames and Bouquet Tables. His wife, Annie E. (nee Young), appears in the 1900 census as a widow. The two halves are detached, handwriting in pencil on page 2 Winter1878-9.
