Illustrated in color with 9 prepared ham recipes, an Amour ham with its vintage packaging partially open on the title page, & a page illustrating various ham cuts with a picture of a fully packaged Armour ham. Based on clothing & hair styles shown in one of two b/w illustrations, this is definitely from the 1920s. Covers are very faintly soiled, front cover has a crease in the upper right corner, some very light, scattered stains on the inside of the cover & the title page o/w Very Good, i.e. signs of careful use with significant defects. 4to. 68 pp. + 20pp. ads. Dark blue limp cloth with front cover decoratively embossed with the gilt-colored title & regimental insignia. Illustrated with b/w photographs including a fold-out. "Containing the chronological and genealogical history of the present units composing the regiment, together with organization rosters, officers' records, photographs, and a running account of each troop's activities, past and present." Covers the Cavalry's 6 troops located at Harrisburg, Carlisle, Chambersburg, Tyrone, Punxsutawney & New Castle. Except for rubbing at the spine extremes, the covers are Fine (no defects). Internally, most pages have finger soiling, smudging & wrinkling. There are also edge tears (about 10) ranging from 3/8" to 5 1/2" repaired with archival tape. The fold-out photo is missing its fold-out half and 3/4" of the outer edge of the remaining half has been clipped. |
